What you’ll make
A short promo where the first 2–3 seconds are a hook re-performed by your own AI character, followed by a screen recording or demo of your app or product.
Steps
- Find a hook format in a similar category (another app’s TikTok, for instance) and note what happens in the first 2–3 seconds.
- Clip just the hook as a motion reference for your own use. Don’t publish it.
- Re-perform it with your character. Use a video model (the source uses Seedance) with your AI character as the reference and the hook’s motion as guidance, so the output is a new performance by your own character.
- Attach your demo. In CapCut, cut from the hook straight into your app demo or product in use, then add captions.
- Post and compare several hooks against the same demo.
Testing plan
- Same demo, 5 different hooks. The hook is the variable.
- Keep the cut to the demo fast (under 3 seconds in).
Mistakes to avoid
- Republishing someone else’s footage, audio or face. Use the hook as motion reference only, then generate a new performance with your own character, and check the platform’s rules.
- Letting the hook promise something the demo doesn’t show.
- Forgetting the AI-generated content label.
